When Tim Hodge was four and a half years old his foot was amputated, and for a long time he thought he'd never be good at anything.

Thankfully, his mum encouraged him to keep trying, because once he found swimming everything changed 🏊

More than 20 years later, Tim is a Paralympic champion, world record holder and one of Australia's most successful Para swimmers.

📅 The new NDIS provider registration changes start later this week.

For many people, these changes won't affect the supports you use day to day. They're mainly relevant if you access Supported Independent Living (SIL) or use an online platform to connect with support workers.

Last week, NDSP Plan Managers was proud to co-host the Connect and Access: Bridging Support in the Community event alongside Be Space Support Coordination, with the support of the City of Bayswater.

Participants, families, support coordinators, providers and community organisations came together to share information and learn about the supports available locally.

There was plenty of conversation, lots of questions being answered, and plenty of new connections made throughout the day. Seeing people leave with greater confidence about where to turn for support was a real highlight.

A big thank you to everyone who attended, presented, hosted a table, and contributed to making the event such a success, including Be Space, Neurominded, Surgical House, Superyou Therapy, Fabic Behaviour Specialists, and the City of Bayswater.

Here's to building stronger, more connected communities together 💜
