After the beautiful response to our announcement, we’re now inviting Expressions of Interest for Wild Sandalwood’s fully funded Seniors Month experience:

✨ SCENT, MEMORY & STORY ✨

A sensory & creative experience for 55+

Have you ever caught a scent and suddenly been transported back to another time or place?

A garden you remember. Someone’s perfume. Rain on dry earth. A kitchen from childhood. A particular flower, spice or tree. ❤️

During this special 2.5-hour experience, we’ll explore natural aromatic materials and the memories and stories they evoke, before creating your own natural sandalwood incense cones inspired by scent and memory to take home.

No previous experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore. 🌿

THREE FULLY FUNDED SESSIONS:

🌿 Thu 1 October | 10am–12.30pm
🌿 Thu 8 October | 10am–12.30pm
🌿 Thu 15 October | 10am–12.30pm

📍 Wild Sandalwood at Make & Mend, Agnes Water

Thanks to Gladstone Regional Council Seniors Month funding, 27 places are FREE for eligible seniors aged 55+.

❤️ EOIs ARE OPEN NOW

We’re currently giving our local aged-care, NDIS support and community networks priority-access period till 15th Sept, but everyone is welcome to put their name down now.

Initially, each participant can receive one fully funded Wild Sandalwood session. And because Wild Sandalwood and Make & Mend Agnes Water are separately funded programs, you can also register for one Make & Mend Seniors Month workshop.

Prefer to pay your own way? You’re very welcome to self-fund your $35 place, or a family member can purchase one for you — but there is absolutely no expectation to pay. ❤️

Wild Sandalwood has been successful in receiving funding through Gladstone Regional Council 2026 Seniors Month Grant Program, allowing us to offer a very special experience to 27 local seniors completely FREE this October at Make & Mend Agnes Water

Introducing…

✨ SCENT, MEMORY & STORY ✨
An Australian Sandalwood Sensory & Incense-Making Experience

Have you ever caught a familiar scent and suddenly found yourself somewhere else?

The kitchen you grew up in.

A flower from your grandmother’s garden.

Someone’s perfume.

Rain on the bush.

A spice that takes you back to another country, another home, another time.

Our sense of smell has an extraordinary relationship with memory – and this Seniors Month, Randall will be inviting participants to explore it.

Across an intimate 2.5-hour sensory experience, participants will explore sandalwood, spices, woods, resins and botanicals and discover which aromas awaken memories of their own.

Then comes the really special part.

Participants will select scents connected to a memory meaningful to them and use those aromatic materials to create their own handmade sandalwood incense.

Something created from a memory.

Something tangible to take home.

A little scent story of their own. 🌿

To keep the experience personal, each session will be limited to just nine seniors, with fully funded places available thanks to Gladstone Regional Council.
