The “Kaine Effect” is real! ⚡️ After an incredible education session with on Monday, I was itching to get back into the salon.
My first client of the week was a no-show 🥺 but the universe delivered this angel 😇 who emailed looking for a foiling appointment with the perfect inspo for what we just learned.
Even though I use these techniques daily, Kaine’s specific combinations made this a literal dream to “applicate” (yes, we’re making that a word 😉).

The Breakdown:
• Technique: Full head of foils + tip outs + root shadow
• Transformation: Deep brown to luminous blonde.
• Speed: Under 2 hours for foil application on long, thick hair!
• The Secret: Lots of product. We didn’t hold back on the saturation to ensure those ends lifted clean and bright.

Ever wonder why blonde hair seems to hold styles so much better? It all comes down to hair science!

When you lighten hair, it slightly roughs up the cuticle, which gives it incredible texture and grip. This makes it so much easier to hold a curl, build volume, and craft detailed, full up-dos.
On the flip side, super smooth, shiny, and healthy virgin hair has very little friction. The strands just want to slip and slide past each other! Without the right products and heat styling techniques, it can stay limp and make it almost impossible to build that lived-in texture.
But don’t worry! You don’t have to be blonde to get the look! Using the right texturizing sprays, grip powders, and prep products can give any hair type that perfect, workable texture.

STYLING TIP:
Without brushing, pick up each individual curl and wrap around the tong in alternating directions. Gently pull out them to create gorgeous volume and fill the space between.
