Today was a strong reminder that community support does not need to be complicated to be meaningful.
Arm in Arm Support had the privilege of handing over care packs and 12 brand new sleeping bags to Serena and Mitch from YES Unlimited, to be distributed to people in our local community who need them most, including people sleeping rough and people experiencing hardship.
A heartfelt thank you to our participants Ellen, Vanessa, Nekitah, Graham and Toniah, who contributed to this initiative with kindness, care and genuine community spirit.
Thank you also to our Team Leader Kellie and her team for helping bring this together. This is the kind of work that reflects who we are at Arm in Arm Support: practical, human, local and grounded in dignity.
Thanks again to Tim and his team at PCYC Albury who are always on board to help the community.
These care packs are not just items in a bag. They represent warmth, hygiene, comfort and a small message to someone doing it tough that they have not been forgotten.
YES Unlimited continues to do vital work across Albury-Wodonga supporting people experiencing homelessness, housing stress, family violence and hardship.
Serena also shared that gift vouchers are currently especially helpful. Something as simple as a gift card can allow a parent to buy their child a birthday present, provide a small experience, or meet a need with dignity and choice.
If you are a local business, community member or organisation and you would like to help, please consider contacting YES Unlimited directly to ask how you can contribute.

Small acts matter. Local care matters. And when the community works together, support reaches the people who need it most.
