Building upper body strength helps support posture, mobility, balance, circulation, and everyday function — from lifting groceries to supporting healthy ageing. 🌿

Today’s 5-4-3-2-1 workout focuses on:

✨ Shoulders
✨ Core stability

Push-ups, tricep dips, shoulder taps, and arm movements all help activate muscles while also encouraging healthy blood and lymphatic flow.

And let’s be honest… those arm circles start feeling serious after about 12 seconds 😅💚

No one should have to face the emotional toll of cancer alone.

Cancer doesn’t just affect the body.

It changes routines.
It changes relationships.
It changes plans.
And sometimes, it changes how we see ourselves.

Fear can linger long after appointments end.
Confidence can fade when the person in the mirror feels unfamiliar.
Even after treatment, many people are still trying to find their footing in a life that looks very different from before.

The emotional impact of cancer is real.

🌟 A NEW WEEK. A FRESH START. 🌟

Over the past week we’ve worked our way through the 5-4-3-2-1 Workout Series — from cardio and strength to balance, recovery, and everything in between.

Now it’s Monday again.

A fresh page. A new opportunity. A chance to begin again.

The beautiful thing about health is that it doesn’t require perfection. It simply asks us to keep showing up.

Maybe last week was amazing. Maybe it was difficult. Maybe life got in the way.

That’s okay.

Today is a brand-new opportunity to move your body, nourish yourself well, drink more water, get some sunshine, and take one step closer to your health goals.

Hair Loss, Chemo & Finding Yourself Again

One of the hardest parts of chemotherapy isn’t always the treatment itself. Sometimes it’s looking in the mirror and not recognising the person looking back at you.

Hair loss can feel like you’re losing a part of your identity, your confidence, and sometimes even a little piece of yourself.

But I’ve learned something during this journey…

Even on the days I don’t feel like it, I still choose to put on my favourite earrings.

I match colourful turbans and scarves to my outfits. 🌸

I add a little sparkle, a little colour, and a little bit of me.

And then I put on a smile.

Not because everything is perfect.

Not because it’s easy.

But because it helps me remember that cancer may have changed my appearance, but it hasn’t changed who I am.

Some days courage looks like getting through treatment.

Some days courage looks like putting on a pair of fabulous earrings and showing up anyway.

If you’re walking this path too, be gentle with yourself.

Find the little things that make you feel like you.

A favourite scarf.
A bright lipstick.
A special piece of jewellery.
A beautiful outfit.

They might seem small, but sometimes the smallest things help carry us through the biggest challenges. 💗

✨ Hair grows back

✨ Hope remains

We’re a small but mighty team running two heart-led businesses in Brisbane — a holistic health clinic and a NDIS Registered Provider Support Services.

We’re looking for a warm, organised, and switched-on person to join us in a casual blended role across both businesses.

🌿 CLINIC RECEPTION (temp as needed)

Be the welcoming first point of contact for our clinic clients — assisting with bookings, client check-ins, and general front-desk support using our software.

A friendly manner and great attention to detail are essential.

NDIS ADMINISTRATION (approx. 5–7 hrs/week)

You’ll support the compliance and operational side of TLC, including:

• Audit preparation and keeping everything NDIS-aligned
• Managing participant files and ensuring documentation is audit-ready
• Overseeing business documents and internal systems
• Maintaining staff records and compliance requirements
• Potential to grow into rostering and invoicing support over time

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT

As the role develops, there’s opportunity to assist with:
• A monthly newsletter
• Following up on client enquiries and referral networking
• Supporting social media and general marketing tasks for TLC

We’re also expanding into aged care, so there’s real scope for this role to grow alongside the business.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Experience in NDIS administration or compliance (essential)
• Warm, professional communication style — written and verbal
• Organised, self-directed, and reliable
• Comfortable wearing a few different hats
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Teams; experience with ShiftCare a bonus
• An interest in holistic health (a big plus!)
