The GROUND Method starts with G — Ground.
Not because grounding is the simplest step.
Because nothing else can happen without it.
When the nervous system doesn't feel *safe,* the deeper work — the regulation, the observation, the integration — can't land.
The body is too busy scanning for threat.
So before strategy, before clarity, before change:
Ground first.
Safety first.
Everything else follows from there.
**A 60-second practice to try now:**
Feet flat on the floor.
Let your eyes slowly scan the room — not searching, just noticing.
Name 3 things you can see that feel neutral or safe.
One slow breath, longer exhale than inhale.
That's it. That's the beginning.
