SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY
Each person uses approximately two to four disposable pads to clean their face everyday. That means that more than 1440 pads are being accumulated in our landfills for at least 5 years. Not only that but it takes at least 10,000 litres of water to produce just 1kg of cotton. Our pads have 30% of organic cotton which represents just 1.5 grams of that kilo and means that using ecosophist pads 200 times you are saving the planet 7,000 litres of water with just one pad.
This is why the ecosophist team have created a more sustainable yet cloud-like pad that can be used for up to 250 times! The combination of bamboo, organic cotton and h**p are not not only renewable but compostable at the end of its life.
THE ECOSOPHIST AND FOUNDER
Ecosophist was born from the need to introduce more sustainable products in the beauty industry. Since I was a teenager, I have always loved skincare and makeup routines however, every time I went to makeup stores, I was always concerned that very little has been invested in this industry to introduce materials that are biodegradable or compostable. I was also shocked to discover that as far as packaging is concerned, sustainability was a low priority for these brands.
It was from my own personal experience that I knew something had to be done. This is why I created Ecosophist and made it my mission to produce high quality and sustainable makeup removal pads.
