πŸ† THREE AWARDS. ONE INCREDIBLE TEAM.

We are incredibly proud to share that Disability Advocacy Service (DAS) has been recognised with three major awards at the 2026 Central Australia Regional Export & Business Awards:

πŸ† Community and Social Services – Winner
πŸ† Peak Industry Body / Association Advocate of the Year – Winner
πŸ† Central Australia Regional Business of the Year – Winner

For a small, independent disability advocacy organisation based in Central Australia, this recognition means an enormous amount.

Every day, the DAS team works alongside people with disability, families and communities to make sure people are heard, included, respected and able to exercise their rights. We advocate when systems aren’t working, challenge barriers and work for lasting change across Central Australia and the Barkly.

These awards belong to our whole team. They recognise the commitment, compassion and determination our staff bring to their work every day, and the trust placed in DAS by the people and communities we serve.

Most importantly, being named Central Australia Regional Business of the Year demonstrates that disability advocacy and inclusion are not on the margins of our community; they are an important part of a strong, fair and successful Central Australia.

To everyone who has supported DAS, worked alongside us, referred someone to us, shared their experience with us or trusted us to stand beside them - thank you.

We are proud of how far DAS has come, but we are even more excited about where we are going.

Next stop: Darwin, where DAS will represent Central Australia as a finalist at the Northern Territory Export & Business Gala Awards on 23 October 2026.

πŸ’› Three awards. One team. One purpose - ensuring people with disability have a voice and their rights are upheld.

Update: We've moved (temporarily) πŸ“

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, DAS has relocated to 8 Gregory Terrace (directly opposite the Westpac building) while our permanent office next door is being renovated.

We also experienced some phone and email issues during this time - we're sorry for any communication difficulties this caused. Everything is now fully back up and running, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need us.

Thank you for your patience. πŸ’›

Every student deserves to feel safe, included, and heard at school β€” and sometimes families need support to make that happen🀝

The Student Advocacy Service works alongside students and families across Central Australia to navigate school challenges and advocate for fair, inclusive outcomes.

From enrolment and participation to accessing the right supports, we’re here to help.

We help families understand their rights, strengthen their voice, and work with schools to ensure students receive the support they need.
