The best way to store eggs is in their original carton in the main part of the refrigerator, ideally at 4°C or below.

Keep the pointed end facing down to help the yolk stay centred.
Avoid the fridge door—temperature changes whenever it opens.
Don’t wash fresh eggs before storing; washing removes their natural protective coating.
Keep them away from strong-smelling foods, as shells are porous.
For best quality, use refrigerated eggs within 3–5 weeks.

Hard-boiled eggs should be refrigerated and used within one week.
