We don’t have a vaccination for COVID-19, but there is one for influenza.

And in an Australian first, my Government is making it free for primary school aged students.

This is about keeping the pressure off our hospitals this winter, so we’re calling on Western Australians to do the right thing and get their flu shot.

Getting vaccinated helps protect yourself and others, particularly our most vulnerable, such as the elderly and immuno-compromised.

There has been fantastic early uptake right across the community, and if you are worried about supply, I can tell you there is more on the way.

So make an appointment and get you and your family the flu shot.
