We've been quiet, waiting until we got the keys! 🔐

We're setting up our 3 new offices across New South Wales in Penrith, Newcastle and Tamworth.

Good news for all our NSW clients. From Monday 6 July, our standard weekday support rate is $68.91/hr, around 6.35% below the NDIS cap, so your plan goes further.

We've been busy expanding across NSW, but not busy enough for this post. It's Pride Month, and it's a good moment to say something we believe all year round.

Good disability support starts with people feeling free to just be themselves. Somewhere nobody has to explain themselves, soften who they are, or wonder whether they'll be judged. Whether you're LGBTQIA+, whether you have a disability, whether you're both like a lot of the people we support, you get to show up as you. That's the whole point.

So to our participants, their families, and our team this month: thank you for being exactly who you are. It makes this work better, and it makes our little corner of Armidale, Newcastle and Sydney all the more special.

Happy Pride. We're glad you're here. 🏳️‍🌈

As part of our Innovate, Create and Grow values we are making it a priority to support the communities we service. We were able to start the first today by dropping off frozen meals to Homes North Community Housing in Armidale.

There should never be a time a human being goes without food, or feel like they’re facing tough times on their own.

Thank you Homes North, for all you do for the community.

One of the things we're most proud of at Asina Disability is our on site gym. 🩵

It's a fully equipped, private space where our participants can focus on their health and fitness without the noise and overwhelm of a commercial gym.

Everyone deserves a space where they feel safe to work on themselves, whether that's building strength, improving mobility, or just getting moving. That's what this space is all about.

We're still brand new here in , but we're growing fast and loving every minute of it.

I just want to share a wholesome update for Asina Disability!
We're getting our first SIL home ready before it opens, and the team spent the weekend building raised garden beds.☀️

Each participant will get their own veggie patch to grow whatever they like. It's a hands-on way to build everyday skills like routine, responsibility, and independence. Staff can also put up name labels, planting guides, and watering schedules on the walls to help support that. 🥕🫜

The home is currently vacant and we want it to feel like somewhere people actually want to be before anyone moves in. I really can't wait to see how this space is utilised once there are some residents. ☺️

Our SIL (or drop in support!) renovations are coming along nicely! We’re creating a wonderful outdoor entertainment area that connects the studio (1 bed 1 bath) to the main house (3 Bed 2 bath) so the participant in the studio is still connected when they want to be. Perfect for Friday night BBQs! 😁

This is a photo of one of the garden beds being installed that can be used for home grown vegetables 🥕 🍅

All our homes in and will be purchased, and if necessary, renovated in order to create an inviting space that has areas (like these garden beds) where participants can learn incredible skills and build capacity. ☀️

We've officially opened in Armidale! 🥳
