We're looking for a place to call ours! A place big enough that allows our participants to come to our on-site gym, play a game of ping pong, record and make music in our recording booth or simply have a cup of tea and make some art. 🎨

As part of our Innovate, Create and Grow values we are making it a priority to support the communities we service. We were able to start the first today by dropping off frozen meals to Homes North Community Housing in Armidale.

There should never be a time a human being goes without food, or feel like they’re facing tough times on their own.

One of the things we're most proud of at Asina Disability is our on site gym. 🩵

It's a fully equipped, private space where our participants can focus on their health and fitness without the noise and overwhelm of a commercial gym.

Everyone deserves a space where they feel safe to work on themselves, whether that's building strength, improving mobility, or just getting moving. That's what this space is all about.

We're still brand new here in , but we're growing fast and loving every minute of it.

🫧💙 WORLD BIPOLAR DAY – MARCH 30 💙🫧

Today we recognise World Bipolar Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and supporting the more than 568,000 Australians living with bipolar disorder.

Observed on the birthday of Vincent van Gogh, this day encourages open conversations, education, and community support.

One of the most meaningful traditions is "Blow Bubbles for Bipolar" 🫧A simple but powerful gesture of solidarity and hope. Bubbles are chosen because people with bipolar who become manic are often described as having "bubbly" personalities, while watching the bubbles drift back down represents the depressive phase of the condition. And the rainbow you see when a group blows enough bubbles together? That symbolises the recovery journey that begins when people get the right support. 🌈

At Asina Disability, we're proud to support neurodiverse communities across Armidale.

I just want to share a wholesome update for Asina Disability!
We're getting our first SIL home ready before it opens, and the team spent the weekend building raised garden beds.☀️

Each participant will get their own veggie patch to grow whatever they like. It's a hands-on way to build everyday skills like routine, responsibility, and independence. Staff can also put up name labels, planting guides, and watering schedules on the walls to help support that. 🥕🫜

The home is currently vacant and we want it to feel like somewhere people actually want to be before anyone moves in. I really can't wait to see how this space is utilised once there are some residents. ☺️
