Welcome to the Golden Ticket – the ultimate challenge at the 2027 Armidale Run Festival.

This isn’t just another race. It’s your chance to take on every single event across the entire weekend and compete to become our Golden Ticket Champion.

🎟️ One Golden Ticket entry includes ALL SEVEN events:

🏃 1km
🏃 1km
🏃 1km
🏃 3km
🏃 5km
🏃 10km
🏃 Half Marathon

🔥 A total of 42.195km across two unforgettable days.

As a Golden Ticket runner you’ll receive:

✨ An exclusive Golden Bib to wear all weekend, making sure everyone knows you’re taking on the festival’s biggest challenge.

🏅 A finisher medal from every event you complete – that’s seven medals to take home.

⏱️ Every second counts. Your time from each event is combined to create one overall finishing time, with the fastest combined male and female runners crowned our Golden Ticket Champions.

🚨 FINAL NUMBERS ARE IN 🚨

Turns out even registering for a running event can be fashionably late 😏🏃‍♂️

Here’s where we’ve landed…

Half Marathon – 264
10km – 201
5km – 202
3km – 102
1km Kids Run – 106

TOTAL RUNNERS = 871 🤯🔥

Not bad for year one hey?!

And check out the catchment area! Runners coming from all over Australia. We’ve even got someone travelling from Western Australia… Now we’re not sure if they thought the race was in Armadale 😅 Or if they just wanted to visit the best “Dale” in the country.

Either way… we’ll take it!

Here’s something pretty cool to think about 👇

No matter the distance… The first person to cross the line will become the official course record holder and forever be able to say they won the INAUGURAL Armidale Running Festival for their distance… does the same apply for the first DNF of each event 🤔🏆
