Casual Medical Receptionist

Employment Type: Casual
Hours: Flexible / approx 7 - 10 hours a week plus holiday coverage

We are seeking a friendly, professional and reliable Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team at Atwell Medical Centre.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and compassionate manner
Answering incoming phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
Scheduling and managing patient appointments
Processing payments and handling reception administration
Maintaining accurate patient records and confidential information
Liaising with doctors, nurses and other members of the healthcare team
Managing general office and reception duties
Assisting with the smooth running of the clinic
About you

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience (preferred)
Has excellent communication and customer service skills
Is organised, reliable and able to multitask
Has a warm, professional and approachable manner
Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Is confident using computers and learning new practice management systems
Understands the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality
Is flexible and available to work casual shifts as required

The state government is expanding access to the free FluMist nasal flu vaccine for 12–17-year-olds in Western Australia as rising respiratory illness is putting pressure on emergency departments across the state.

We've expanded free FluMist vaccines, so even more West Aussie kids can get immunised against the flu without a needle.

FluMist is now available free for children and teenagers aged 2 to 17, giving more families access to this quick and gentle nasal spray.

It's a great option for kids who feel anxious about needles, making it easier and more comfortable to get protected against the flu.

By making immunisation more accessible, we're helping protect more kids, slow the spread of the flu, and ease pressure on our health system.
