Our Universal Exercise Unit or Spider Cage has to be one of the coolest resources we have at PKTC!🤩

This piece of equipment is anything but a “cage”!
It allows our kids to experience freedom, movement, independence and a lot of fun!

It’s almost Book Week!📚

✨Join us in celebrating during your sessions next week by wearing your favourite character outfit or simply bringing along a special book or accessory you love.

Our AHA, Belle, has been including a lot of hand strength activities into her sessions with clients this month! Practicing pincer grips and strengthening fine motor skills. Have fun whilst developing useful skills for being school-ready! .

Our therapists are all trained in Task Specific Electrical Muscle Stimulation (TASES) ⚡️ which is a therapy tool that uses gentle electrical stimulation to activate specific muscles during a functional movement.

As you can imagine, this can sometimes feel scary or daunting for kids (especially on their first session!)

Decorating the electrodes with textas or stickers allows them to be a part of the process allowing for a more fun and engaging atmosphere to try something new✨
