from an evidence-based dietitian who went to uni for 6.5 years x

if you have PCOS you do NOT need to cut out bread, milk or pasta to support your hormones !!!!!!

the internet loves turning PCOS into a list of foods you’re apparently not allowed to eat anymore but (unless you personally have a medical reason or intolerance to avoid something) cutting out entire food groups is usually totally unnecessary

things that actually tend to matter more:
β˜† eating consistently
β˜† spreading carb intake throughout the day (instead of skipping then overdoing it later)
β˜† opting for mostly lower GI carbs where practical
β˜† building balanced meals with carbs, protein, fats + fibre
β˜† fibre intake overall
β˜† stress management
β˜† incorporating movement you enjoy in your day
β˜† sleep
β˜† managing insulin resistance (if relevant)

PCOS nutrition should feel supportive and achievable, not like a lifetime punishment ###x
