I found the JOY OF MOVEMENT in this practice and I love to share it with women in my community who are looking for feel good fitness, movement for balance, mobilty and strength and /or to alleviate symptoms of menopause, anxiety and trauma. Nia is a somatic movement practice that leaves you feeling uplifted and alive. What to expect: The teacher guides you through the moves with no strict focus on
technique other than to let your body feel the music and move in a way that feels right for you. Nia dance classes completely allow you to move at your own pace. No-one is pushing you to work harder, improve performance or force that stretch further. The movements are simple and repetitive on purpose, designed to condition the body and bring up feelings of inner connection and joy. About Mandy - I have completed the Nia White, Green and Blue Belts, 52 Moves and Moving to Heal Nia teacher trainings and I'm also a certified Trauma Informed Movement Practitioner. My classes focus on choice and SAFETY, fitness for OVER 55s, Seniors and Movement for MENOPAUSE.
