Today our amazing participant Gilli, turns the big 40. 3 years ago we were lucky enough to have Gilli as our 1st SIL home resident. Gilli is a sassy, smart, cheeky, stubborn and amazing woman. All these qualities come from the unconditional love and support from her family. Gilli is extremely independent and knows what she wants, she loves her Bulldogs, beautiful perfumes, handbags and always loves to look good. It's been an honour at Achieve Your Best - Disability Support Services to be able to support Gilli and watch her grow.
We wish her a very HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY 🎂

Sunday was the perfect day for a trip to the beach 🏖
Our participant requested Mornington beach, so off we went! Walking along the sand, feeling the sun on our faces and dipping our toes in the water. The bathing boxes were a bright and colourful sight, where we sat for a bit to watch the world go by and take in all of that fresh air ⛵️
Picnic lunch at Rosebud with the waterfront for our view. A lovely stroll in the shallows of the water and out along the sandbars before heading home. Relaxed, content, and fulfilled 🌞

A man who needs no introduction..
The one and only James, aka Chum!
James is a local legend who has built great relationships in our community especially with Darley Football Netball Club and Darley cricket club. James has grown up in Bacchus marsh all his life nearly 50 years!! James loves his footy Darley boys and his Bulldogs. James often thinks he makes all the big decisions on game day and what makes it great the people at Darley make him feel that too. James loves his mates, fishing, music, going on drives, sport and let's not forget his coke in hand. (Now coke zero) James has adapted well to living in a SIL home and gets all the support, care and guidance he needs. James has learnt independence, cooking skills and healthy choices with the support of all at Achieve Your Best - Disability Support Services . James continues to thrive and living his best life.

A wild day at the Ballarat wildlife Park. This is one of James's favourite places as it's so interactive. There's nothing like building confidence with repeatative adventures. First time James went to the wildlife park, he was happy just looking from a distance. NOW.. no fear!

A new addition to our SIL house today. A pool table, this is great for hand eye coordination, team skills, healthy competition and provides some great bonding time. The participants are loving it.
