Dry needling — what it actually is, what it does, and why we use it. 👇
We know the needles look intimidating. But the process is a lot more straightforward than it looks.
Dry needling is not acupuncture. It targets specific muscle tissue — tight bands, trigger points, areas that are overloaded and not releasing on their own.
The needle creates a localised stimulus in that tissue. The muscle responds with a small twitch — and that twitch is what helps release the tension and get blood flow moving back into the area.
It's one tool in a broader plan. Used alongside the right exercises and manual therapy, it can be genuinely effective for the right person at the right time.
Not a magic fix. But for a lot of people — a meaningful part of getting better. 🎯
