At Act Believe Achieve, we're dedicated to providing meaningful work experience and social connections for NDIS participants through engaging activities on our vibrant hobby farm. Located in the beautiful Perth area, we offer a unique blend of hands-on learning oppo

rtunities that empower individuals to discover their passions and develop their skills. Whether it's animal care, gardening, woodworking, or creative arts, our participants are involved in a wide range of activities that not only build confidence but also contribute to the community. From tending to animals and building projects to growing vegetables and cooking, there's always something exciting happening here! We're also excited to offer respite options in our cosy 2-bedroom cabin, providing a peaceful and supportive environment for participants to relax and recharge. Plus, with many programs available, participants can gain valuable work experience or simply enjoy interacting with the animals and soaking in the serenity of our farm. Our mission is simple: to create an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive. We believe in the power of teamwork, the joy of learning new things, and the importance of having fun while doing it! 🌼🐑 Say hello to Daisy! 🐑🌼

Our newest little lamb has officially joined the ABA family, and it’s safe to say she’s already stolen everyone’s hearts! 💛

Daisy was one of a set of triplets, so she’s now being bottle-fed with plenty of love, cuddles, and attention from our incredible team and participants.

From morning cuddles to learning about animal care and responsibility. Daisy is already becoming a special part of our days and creating meaningful moments for everyone she meets.

Welcome to the family, Daisy! We can’t wait to watch you grow. 🥰🐑🌿

Our participants involved in our Skills Development Program have been working hard gaining real-life work experience and practical skills and tomorrow is a chance for the community to come along and support them.

We’ll have:

🍰 Participant-made cakes and treats
🎨 Participant Handmade crafts
🥬 Organic participant-grown produce
🥚 Fresh free-range eggs available

We also have a large shed area undercover to keep everyone warm and dry rain or shine 🌧️☀️

🌱 Gardening Skill Development Program 🌱

At Act Believe Achieve Disability Services, our Gardening Skill Development Program provides NDIS participants with the opportunity to develop practical life and work-style skills through meaningful hands-on activities within our organic farm environment.

Participants are supported to gain experience in:
• Organic gardening and growing fresh produce
• Lawn mowing and outdoor maintenance
• Using whipper snippers and gardening equipment safely
• Building and maintaining garden boxes
• Composting and sustainable gardening practices
• Planting, watering, harvesting, and maintaining participant gardens

Through these activities, participants work towards developing:
• Confidence and independence
• Responsibility and routine building
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Problem solving and practical work skills

Our program focuses on creating a calm, supportive, and encouraging environment where participants can learn at their own pace while building valuable real-world skills.

There’s something special about the connection between people and animals ❤️

Our Animal Care Program provides NDIS participants with the opportunity to build confidence, independence, communication skills, and practical real-life abilities within a calm, supportive, and hands-on farm environment.

Participants engage in a range of hands-on activities designed to support skill development, including animal feeding and care, enclosure maintenance, egg collecting, gardening, and learning practical animal husbandry skills while assisting with the daily care of our rabbits, goats, sheep, alpaca, cow, emu, geese, chickens, guinea pigs, and other farm animals.

The program focuses on developing practical animal husbandry and farm care skills, while encouraging responsibility, teamwork, routine building, problem solving, work-style skills, and increased independence in a supportive environment 🫶

Every day brings opportunities for learning, personal growth, achievement, and building confidence in a safe and supportive setting.

🔨🌱 Real skills. Real experiences. Real opportunities. 🌱🔨

Our participants have been busy learning hands-on skills through animal care, gardening, woodworking, and construction programs here at Act Believe Achieve.

This week, participants were also out in the community assisting with a local business development project helping with demolition, recycling, and repurposing materials to bring back and use in projects at the farm.

Building confidence, independence, teamwork, and real-world work skills every day.
