Each month our Baldivis store is going to be giving back to our community through your in store nominations! Simply nominate a local team, individual, organisation or group that you feel deserves a little extra help and each month the person or group with the most nominations for that month will receive support in the form of a donation or goods from our store that is required for the nominee.
Please only nominate person/s or groups that want to be contacted by us or have your permission to share their story.

Nomination forms and our community box is located inside Blooms the Chemist Baldivis near Woolies/Aldi entry and is next to the dispensary seating area.

Today we donated some first aid supplies to Makybe Rise Primary School for them to use at their school fundraising events. ❤️

This National Asthma Week (1-7 September), has been a good opportunity to remind people with asthma and their families/carers about important changes to asthma management in Australia.

Asthma management isn't just about relieving symptoms; it's about treating what's causing them.

If you're using your blue puffer (SABA) more than 2 days a week on average, it could be a sign that your asthma isn't well controlled.

Using 3 or more SABA canisters per year can increase your risk of an asthma flare-up.

Using a blue puffer alone is not enough to manage your asthma.
Relying on a blue puffer alone doesn't treat the underlying airway inflammation and can increase the risk of a serious asthma flare-up that may require oral steroids or hospitalisation.

For people with mild asthma, an anti-inflammatory reliever (AIR) is now the recommended option because it helps treat the underlying inflammation while also relieving symptoms.

Ask your health care professional today about less SABA, more AIR.

🔴 Today is Red Nose Day 👃
Our team at Blooms the Chemist Baldivis want to thank our community for coming together with us today to show our support to Red Nose Australia in raising vital awareness and funds for the prevention of sudden unexplained loss of a pregnancy, infant or child and bereavement support for those families.

No parent should have to face this loss and too often there’s not any answers for families as to what’s happened and many are left wondering why. More research is needed to prevent these tragedies. 🤍

We sincerely appreciate the generosity of our community, our team and our families who’ve also donated individually. Today’s in store fundraising came to almost $250 which when added to staff and family donations brings our amount to almost $1500 in the Walk with Purpose team for Red Nose Australia ❤️🙏🏻
