Joint Statement by Disability Representative Organisations call for transparency on ‘Computer-Generated NDIS Plans’

Reforms require the highest standards of scrutiny, transparency and safeguards to ensure they do not undermine the rights and experiences of people with disability. DROs have published a joint statement to express concerns after reports of ‘Computer-Generated NDIS Plans’ and call on NDIA to partner with them in co-designing all aspects of New Framework Planning and Rules development – including any proposed use of automation.

It takes strength to say:

🧡 “I’m struggling.”
🧡 “I need help.”
🧡 “I don’t know what to do next.”

No family is meant to do this alone - community exists for a reason.

Teachers are the missing voice in Australia’s conversation on ADHD inclusion.

Associate Professor Melanie Porter and Flynn Vamos, psychology honours student at Macquarie University interviewed primary teachers about what helps and what still gets in the way.

Their findings were clear: ADHD is often the “blind spot” of inclusion, but small, practical shifts can transform learning and wellbeing.

This may include targeted training, in-class support, and stronger relationships.

👂 Do you or does someone you know have misophonia? This neurological condition causes extreme emotional distress triggered by sound.

Many Autistic and other neurodivergent people experience sensitivity to sound, and some have an additional diagnosis of misophonia.

You can read more about it on our website:

[ID: A teal background featuring the Reframing Autism logo at the top left and logo knotwork at bottom right. A title in white reads, "Misophonia is a strong, negative reaction to particular sounds. Imagine fingernails down a blackboard. Now imagine your reaction tenfold. That's the lived reality of many Autistic people". Below is an image of a woman covering her ears with her hands looking distressed.]

Neuroaffirming resources that actually work - created for therapists, teachers, carers, and parents who support neurodivergent humans. Because supporting neurodivergent minds should be easier, not harder.
