There are so many treats on offer for Christmas. Over eating is so easy for all of us (of course including me).
If you are trying to moderate here are some simple tips:
- Eat/drink slower, it will give you brain satiety signals time to catch up with your gut.
- Be selective, focus on quality over quantity.
- Treat it like a marathon, not a sprint. Know there is a long road ahead of eating/drinking.
- Serve yourself smaller portions/drinks, even if you go back for more, it will help you eat less.
- Do not guilt yourself, if you would like a treat, eat or drink it & enjoy, trying to deny & over restrict yourself will more likely lead to you a bigger blowout.
- For alcohol, there are some amazing non alcohol options available, that look like alcohol, so nobody will know any different.
- Drink slowly, and aim to have a glass of water with a glass of alcohol.
- And eat before and when you drink, not on an empty stomach.
Wishing you, your family & friends a merry Christmas. :-)
