Last week, the Mindwise team attended the Islamophobia Register Australia fundraising dinner…and came home with a ball signed by the legendary Usman Khawaja! 🏏 🤩

It was lovely to reminisce with Mariam Veiszadeh about the Register’s early days, when Mindwise was one of the first businesses they approached to establish a referral pathway for culturally and faith-informed mental health care for people affected by discrimination and hateful attacks.

Many years on, we’re proud to continue supporting the Register and its important work🤍 The Register urgently needs funding. If you’re able to, please donate to help keep this vital support available:

This morning, the Mindwise team joined Educaid’s 9 km Out of the Shadows Walk in support of Lifeline and World Su***de Prevention Day 💙

It was a meaningful morning of connection, reflection and raising awareness that no one should have to face their darkest moments alone.

Thank you to educaid for bringing the community together for such an important cause, and ᴍᴏʀɴɪɴɢ ᴏᴡʟ🦉 for generously providing complimentary coffee and breakfast after the walk.

If you or someone you know needs support, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14. Lifeline Macarthur Lifeline Australia

Content note: su***de and suicidal distress.

Su***de is complex. It is rarely the result of one event, one experience or one reason. A combination of personal, psychological, relational and situational factors can contribute to someone’s distress and level of risk, and no single sign tells the whole story.

But complexity doesn’t mean that nothing can be done.

A calm conversation, genuine connection and timely professional support can help create a pathway towards safety. You don’t need to have the perfect words or carry the responsibility alone. What matters is taking concerns seriously, asking directly, listening without judgement and helping the person connect with appropriate support.
