Nia Movement with Kerryn

Nia Movement with Kerryn Nia blends dance, martial arts, yoga, music and JOY into a whole-body workout that ANYONE can do! Nia is a mindful movement practice set to global music.

I have been teaching Nia since 2015, and have completed the Nia White, Blue and Brown Belt level trainings, plus Nia 52 Moves, Moving to Heal and Nia 5 Stages certifications. The movements are a blend of mind/body science and ancient wisdom drawing from practices such as Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Akido, Yoga, Jazz, Duncan and modern dance. In my Nia class you will be invited to take off your shoes (op

tional but encouraged) and leave distractions behind. You will be gently guided through simple movement patterns called katas, with the reminder to listen to your own body and adapt the moves to suit your body’s way. If you can move your body, you can do Nia! There is no right or wrong - there is simply the joy of moving to music and having fun. Classes are suitable for every BODY and all fitness levels.

You don’t need any dance experience to start Nia!

Nia is designed to be accessible for all abilities, with easy-to-follow movements and options to suit all abilities and fitness levels.

There’s no pressure to get every move ‘right’. Learning new movement patterns is part of the benefit as it helps you improve your coordination while you move.

Most importantly you get to enjoy the music and have fun! ✨

Try a Nia class tomorrow! Your first class is free!

Only one class this week! Don’t miss your brain power session!

🌸Thursday 20 August 9:30am Bay Pavilions Batemans Bay

Learning new movement patterns can challenge more than just your body.

Following a sequence requires your brain to process information, coordinate different parts of the body, stay focused and remember what comes next.

As we age, continuing to learn and practise new skills is one way to keep both the body and brain actively engaged.

Nia combines changing movement patterns, rhythm and coordination, so you’re not only staying physically active — you’re giving your brain something to work on too.

🧣✨ Who said scarves were just for keeping warm?!

In a Nia class sometimes we’re waving, reaching, swirling and dancing with scarves — giving our upper bodies a little extra love while having LOTS of fun! 💃🕺

It’s a wonderful way to explore bigger movements, coordination, mobility and freedom through the arms, shoulders and upper body.

Come join the fun this week:

💃 Tuesday & Thursday | 9:30am Bay Pavilions

💃 Wednesday | 1pm - NEW time
Soul Tribe Studio
📍 27 Sydney St, Mogo — our NEW location!

Come move, laugh and dance with us. ❤️
