The Radiation Bus is a vital service required to transport people from the Bathurst area to the Orange Cancer Care Centre for their radiation treatment.

Friends of the Radiation Bus are holding two morning teas ☕️🧁🫖to raise funds to help with the ongoing costs associated with this service.

Congratulations 👏👏👏 to our Cancer Care Coordinator Belinda who has graduated from the 12 month Applied Safety and Quality Program.

Belinda’s project title:
Navigating the new normal. Improving cancer survivorship care at Daffodil Cottage through standardised survivorship care plans.

Our patients will receive survivorship education, information, resources and a personalised survivorship plan.

Thank you to the amazing volunteers from Daffodil Cottage who baked delicious treats and helped last Thursday on the Daffodil Cottage Daffodil Day stall.

$1150.65 was raised for the Cancer Council due to the amazingly generous support from the community 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉😃🥇🏆

🌼 Introducing Michelle our
Lymphoedema Therapist 🌼 

Hi, I am Michelle. I joined the Daffodil Cottage team in 2026 as the Lymphoedema Therapist with a background of almost 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist.
I am passionate about helping people achieve the best possible quality of life through prevention early intervention and supportive care.
I have specialised training in the assessment and treatment of upper and lower limb lymphoedema and have recently completed further training in oncology scar massage.
At Daffodil Cottage I support people living with cancer related lymphoedema and those at risk of developing the condition. My goal is to empower people with the knowledge, strategies, and care they need to confidently manage their health and well-being.
I look forward to meeting and helping patients who require Lymphoedema Therapy support.

Last Tuesday, a few of our boys in Bathurst had the privilege of putting on a morning tea for the team and patients at the Daffodil Cottage Cancer Care Services. As well as handing out beanies, they spent time listening to the stories of patients, families and staff.

For our MENtors, Shaun and Nathan, this one hit close to home. It was a meaningful visit, and one they appreciated just as much as those they spent time with.
