In Queensland, the nasal spray flu vaccine called FluMist is currently funded under both the National Immunisation Program (NIP) and additional Queensland state-funded programs.
For 2026, the groups covered are:
All children aged 2 to 5 years inclusive in Queensland can receive FluMist free of charge.
Queensland has also recently expanded eligibility to:
Children aged 6 to 17 years inclusive who struggle with needles.

Know the signs. Trust your body.
