Antibiotics don’t work against viruses! 🦠🚫

That means they won’t help treat illnesses like:
🤧 Colds
😷 Most sore throats
🤒 The flu
🦠 COVID-19

Antibiotics are designed to treat bacterial infections, not viral ones. Taking antibiotics when you don’t need them can contribute to antibiotic resistance, making them less effective when they’re truly needed.

💡 Our tip: If you’re feeling unwell and aren’t sure whether antibiotics are appropriate, chat with one of our friendly pharmacists. We can help you understand your symptoms, recommend the right treatment, and let you know if it’s time to see your GP.

Taking your medication at the same time every day can help it work more effectively and reduce the chance of missing a dose.

⏰ A few easy tips:
• Set a daily alarm on your phone.
• Keep your medication somewhere you’ll see it (as long as it’s stored safely and according to the label).
• Use a weekly pill organiser if you take multiple medications.
