I had the pleasure with catching up with Andy Bernal last night at the Roar 🆚 Wolves Match in the NPL - Andy is one of the Brisbane Roar Coaches and Fitness and conditioning Gurus who is looking after the Roar mens and Youth Teams

Andy is a former Socceroo - and applied his trade in Football in Europe - Andy has played with and managed some of the greats of Football from around the world - David Beckham to name one

Andy has written a couple of Books in his lifetime which tells his story - I had the pleasure to get two signed copies from him last night - looking forward to reading about Andy and his journey in the greatest game of all - ⚽️🦁🧡🖤

Well, well, well - it started with a bang and looked good early on - but we lost our way

Michael Valkanis has what it takes to Make The Roar Great Again - his passion, and dedication to the game is without a doubt what we need - at times maybe! He went to far, but we haven’t seen that passion for a long time

It’s been a long while since we’ve had a Gaffer who wore his heart on his sleeve and told it how it is unpoligeticly

I believe Michael and James Gow can get this happening again in the Men’s team - let’s not write off the Man yet

We need to allow the process to happen, we need to make sure the re-build happens and we need to support him next season

In saying that - everyone has their time, and if it doesn’t work out, there’s the door

RRB News - MAKE THE ROAR GREAT AGAIN

NB: this is my personal thoughts - Straight off the bat - this post is 100% about football - Passion - Ability - Skill - and a Cheeky Bastard attitude for the game they love - nothing else!

Last season a young Milorad Stajic joined the Roar and I saw straight away a Footballer with what I believe is Roar worthy - Milo was different - bold - brash - a mongrel footballer who who fight for everything and his fellow mate on the park

Milo’s season was cut short by a silly injury during the Adelaide away game - from that very weekend on - the Roar changed. - they went from the winning side they were early on - to be honest, sh*te after that!

The season has ended and the Men’s team has been decimated by transfers - let goes and poor player retention - James Gow has been brought in to work with Michael Valkanis to rebuild the team once again

To achieve that rebuild I have no problem letting players go - or even release players to better their careers - but if we are going to get series about the team and release players - then Jay O’Shea needs to go

And the man to fill that spot is Milorad Stajic - build the team around him!

The reason I have a picture of Besart Berisha and Milo, is they are so similar to me in Footballing brains and skill - yes, Milo has yet to light up the world for the Roar - but he has got something special inside - to put it bluntly as we Australian would say - he’s a mongrel and is a sh*te stirrer who can play Football with passion and creativity

Besart was a genius - other footballers hated to play against him - he never backed down, and he gave his all for the Roar and many other clubs

I am backing Milo to be the outstanding player for the Roar next season - hopefully the Batton can be past on from Besart to Milo and he bring the attitude to MAKE THE ROAR GREAT AGAIN - 🦁⚽️🧡🖤💪

Well, well, well - this one has to be the depiction of making the Roar Great Again - Besart Berisha was the ultimate champion of the Roar - never say die - wants to win everything - a winner at all costs - defender of his Club - built in Mongrel attitude to take no crap from anyone - a Champion

Besart Berisha - MADE THE ROAR GREAT - we currently have a player in the Men’s squad who is a bit like Besart - I won’t mention his name just yet - But he will return from injury to wreak havoc on the A-League next season we hope - MS💪🦁⚽️🧡
