Today we farewelled our gorgeous OT Annaliese on her maternity leave. The centre won’t be the same without her smiles and laughter for a while but we are so excited as she awaits the arrival of her precious little girl in a few weeks time! We can’t wait to meet the little treasure 👶

NAPLAN week can feel heavy for some of our children — particularly those who already work twice as hard to navigate a learning environment that doesn’t always fit their brain.
For many neurodivergent learners, it’s not the content that’s hard — it’s the pace, the pressure, the processing load, and the environment.

If your child comes home more tired than usual this week, that makes sense.
If they feel discouraged, that makes sense too.

A standardised test captures a snapshot.
It does not capture potential.
It does not capture character.
And it certainly does not capture worth.

This week, we’re encouraging families to focus on regulation, reassurance and reminding their child of the many ways they are capable.

We love having Liv and Lilly, our two ACU Speech Pathology students, with us. They will be bringing the fun for the next 8 weeks. We’ve only known them a week but we know for certain they will both be an asset to the profession when they graduate in December! If you see them around the clinic be sure to say hi 👋🏼
