🌿 Public Holiday Reminder 🌿

Just a reminder that there will be no yoga classes on Monday 1 June due to the Western Australia Day public holiday. The regular Saturday class tomorrow at 9am is still going ahead.

I hope you enjoy a lovely long weekend and find some time to rest, recharge and connect with nature.

Classes will resume as normal from Tuesday.

🌿 Another beautiful yoga retreat completed… and my heart is so full. 💛

The energy, kindness and company of the wonderful women who attended made this weekend incredibly special. There was such warmth, laughter, connection and genuine support shared throughout the retreat.

We were blessed with perfect autumn weather — crisp, cool mornings and warm sunny days for our walks through the beautiful bushland surrounding Moondyne. 🍂☀️

Our weekend included:
🧘‍♀️ Daily yoga and meditation
🌿 Morning ChiBall on the grass in the fresh country air
🎶 A deeply relaxing sound healing session on Friday night
🪘 African drumming with the ever-smiling and joy-filled Paul from Akwaaba Drumming (our faces ached from laughing and smiling!)
🍲 Delicious nourishing meals lovingly prepared by Moondyne Convention Centre
🚶‍♀️ Time in nature to rest, reflect, reconnect and simply ‘be’

Thank you again to everyone who joined me and trusted the process — it was such a privilege to hold this space with you all.

🌿 Sound Healing – Thursday 30 April

A gentle reminder that our two Sound Healing sessions with Michelle are coming up this Thursday:

• 11:00am – 12:00pm (spaces still available)
*if you book in for the 9.30am yoga class prior, there will be complimentary morning tea before the sound session

• 7:00pm – 8:00pm (fully booked - waitlist only)

Cost: $35 per person (bookings and prepayment required)

Sound healing allows you to deeply relax and meditate with ease, as the soothing sounds of gongs, crystal singing bowls, and chimes help quiet the mind. The vibrations work through the body to support the release of tension and restore balance and energy flow.

Lest we forget 🌺

Today we pause to remember and honour those who have served, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. It was a privilege to attend a local school ANZAC ceremony yesterday, and the dawn service this morning as part of my councillor duties. A moving reminder of the importance of reflection, gratitude, and community.

Thank you to my wonderful relief teachers Jaimie and Tonia for stepping in to take classes while I attended these commitments, I’m so grateful for your support, and I know everyone is in very good hands.

A couple of quick updates for my yoga community:
• No classes on Monday due to the long weekend
• Sound Healing with Michelle is coming up this Thursday (30 April) — a few spots left in the 11am session and only a couple remaining for the 7pm session

Hello yoga community, I've just shared a post about The Spiers Centre Inc .where I’ve been running Chair Yoga and supporting their work in the community. Their pantry is currently running low.

If you’re able to spare a few pantry items, please feel free to bring them along to class over the coming week or two, and I’ll drop everything off on my next visit to the Centre.

Some things really stay with you.

Back in 2023, during Seniors Week, I was invited to facilitate a couple of free Chair Yoga classes at The Spiers Centre. The response was so warm and the classes so well attended, that they became a regular weekly offering, shared with a group of truly wonderful women.

After Chair Yoga today, CEO Neil Starkie kindly showed me and some of the ladies the new works underway at the Heathridge site. The upgrades are being designed around a Psychologically Informed Environment, creating spaces that feel welcoming, safe and dignified for people accessing support.

It reinforced something I strongly believe: the way we design our community spaces shapes how people feel within them.

A strong community is one where people feel respected, included and supported, and thoughtful initiatives like this make a real difference.

As someone who is standing for Council, I’m proud that The Spiers Centre will be part of my ward, and I look forward to continuing to support the important work they do for our community.

Neil has also written a thoughtful piece about this project and the idea of dignity-centred spaces. I’ll share the link once it’s live on The Spiers Centre website.

And yes… the sea breeze was in, if you’re looking for me in the photo, I’m the one with my hair blowing across my face 😄

Happy New Year everyone! 🌿✨

How’s this for a yoga space and office? 🌅
Mat on the deck at Short Beach, Bremer Bay, fresh air, sunrise… and Thor keeping me company 🐾A little yoga is always better than none 💛

Classes are back on a modified January timetable, with the wonderful Jaimie and Tonia teaching while I enjoy a short break. I’ll be back on the mat with you from Tuesday 27 January.

Looking forward to seeing you soon, although it's going to be hard to leave this beautiful place.

Happy New Year everyone 🌿✨
I hope you’ve had a restful and gentle start to 2026.

A reminder that we’re currently on a break and the modified holiday timetable starts from Monday 12 January, with the lovely Jaimie and Tonia covering classes over January. Full details are in your newsletter emails and on Momoyoga booking site. I’ll be back teaching from Tuesday 27 January.
Also, if you’d like to keep your practice going at home, I’ve uploaded some free recorded classes to Momoyoga under the “Videos” tab — including shorter sessions, meditation-only, and chair yoga. They’re there for you to enjoy in your own time over the holidays.
Wishing you a calm, healthy and nourishing year ahead.
