Happy Everything to all my gorgeous patients, colleagues and friends who have made 2025 so fabulous. Sending oodles of love from a glittery Nepal.. the mountain behind me is Machhapuchhre and is a mere 7000m.. off for a walk to see the really big hill tomorrow 🙂

My acupuncture clinic the past few weeks was a tad different from usual- it was on the temple lawn at a Buddhist monastery in Nepal.. I was there for a month-long retreat and teachings- and main ailments were sore backs and necks from sitting on the floor, deep in concentration, for over 8 hours a day!

I set it up as a community style clinic and some lunchtimes I was treating 9 patients at once. Jeff Shearer- thank you for teaching me the 'much fewer needles' technique- it was essential and beautiful and hugely effective..but you already knew that!

And now to fully immerse myself in Nepal's splendour for the remainder of 2025. I'm taking bookings now for January- will be back at Bellingen and Macksville from 4th January.

Greetings gorgeous friends,

I am packing up my acupuncture needles and am heading to a monastery in Nepal for a spell, so Mid North Coast Acupuncture will be closed for November and December- reopening the start of January 2026.

I have a few spots available before I leave if you're needing a top-up, and am also taking bookings for January now. I'll have very limited access to the internet while at the monastery.

Please also let me know if you'd like a recommendation for another acupuncturist in my absence.

A few of the things treated in clinic this past week: pregnancy support, preparation for IVF, plantar fasciitis, hormonal migraine, anxiety, sciatica, shoulder bursitis and back pain. Not sure if acupuncture can help your health concern? Please just ask :)

What a soggy, cyclonic weekend that was! Luckily, Bello didn't suffer with the winds like our poor northern neighbours.. just an absolutely astonishing amount of rain.. which I'm delighted to see has stopped this morning..

Enjoy the quieter skies and may everything dry out and the roads reopen and the hidden bridges re-emerge today..

Mid North Coast Acupuncture will be closed from Wednesday 23rd October until Monday 18th November.

Upon reopening, I'm almost booked up until December so send me a message to secure an appointment.

Thus concludes a fabulous 3 day advanced course in Injury and Pain Approaches. I always love meeting fellow acupuncturists from around the country and this group was the friendliest and funniest of any course I've ever attended.

Are there any other geeks out there who enjoy further learning as much as I do?!
