Invisible Disabilities Week | October 18–24, 2026 🧡

This week is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of invisible disabilities - conditions that aren’t immediately apparent but deeply affect daily life.

From chronic pain and fatigue to neurological conditions, PTSD, autism, and mental health challenges, many people live with disabilities that can’t be seen - but are very real.
Invisible Disabilities Week gives people the chance to be seen, heard, and supported.

🎗️ We’re raising funds for Breast Cancer Research while celebrating the exciting opening of the Sharron Andrea Art Gallery!

🎨 A SPECIAL PRE-OPENING OPPORTUNITY Guests will have the chance to explore the Sharron Andrea Art Gallery ahead of its official opening on Saturday, 24 October.

💗 SPECIAL FUNDRAISING OFFER For every original framed artwork by Sharron Andrea sold during the morning tea, 50% of the sale will be donated to Breast Cancer Research!

Come along, enjoy a cuppa and a bite to eat, discover beautiful original artwork, connect with our community and support an important cause.

🎃👻 HALLOWEEN AT MURPHY HOUSE! 👻🎃

Get your costumes ready because we’re going TRICK-OR-TREATING!

My Village Carers is excited to invite all NDIS participants, including those who aren’t currently supported by MVC, to join us for a spooktacular evening of Halloween fun!

📅 Saturday, 31st October
📍 Murphy House
🕕 6:00pm – Nibbles & socialising
🍬 6:30pm – Trick-or-treating begins!

Come dressed in your favourite Halloween costume and enjoy some delicious nibbles before we head out together for an evening of trick-or-treating!

🎃 Nibbles will be provided!

👻 Support Arrangements

A team of My Village Carers support workers will be attending, with staffing numbers arranged based on RSVPs and individual support requirements.

- External participants are welcome! We kindly ask that participants who are not currently supported by MVC attend with their own support worker if they require assistance.

If you’re an existing MVC participant requiring additional or individualised support, you’re welcome to bring your own external support worker.

Alternatively, if you’d like to arrange support through My Village Carers, please contact your allocated Client Services Representative prior to the event.

RSVP ESSENTIAL!

Please register your attendance using our events on facebook or contacting your client service rep so we can plan staffing, nibbles and activities accordingly.

• Supporting daily living skills and independence.

✔️ Live locally in Bendigo
✔️ Hold (or are willing to obtain):
• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• First Aid and CPR certification
✔️ Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Expressions of Interest are now OPEN! 🎉

Join us for great coffee, new friendships, and fun social outings as we explore different coffee spots around Bendigo! ☕🫶

📅 When: Tuesdays & Thursdays
⏰ Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
👥 Who: Adult participants of all genders
☕ Attend: One day or both!

The Ironstone Hill Activity Farm Saturday Program is a social group for NDIS funded children aged 5–16 years, running weekly during the school term from 10am – 2pm.

For us, community access is about so much more than just getting out and about. It’s about building confidence, developing skills, trying new things, connecting with others, and having fun along the way.
