That text can wait. That email can wait. The mental to-do list running on a cycle in your head? It can wait too.

For years I treated everything like an emergency. Every ping, every ask, every little crisis. I thought staying on top of it all was me being responsible. It was me abandoning myself one “quick thing” at a time.

The most healing thing I ever did was slow down and stop living like the whole world needed me right now.

Your nervous system isn’t built to be on call 24/7. Neither are you.

You smiled. You showed up. You looked fine on the outside.

But on the way home you fell apart.

You keep asking yourself “What’s wrong with me?” Telling yourself “I’m so weak, get it together”.

But your body needs something different.
