Xavier has his first day of work experience tomorrow.

This was oganised by his support worker (best support worker ever (After me ofcoarse 😂). He has given this oppurtunity to Xavier and he will remember this for the rest of his life. Both his support worker and the organisation he works for have been so humble and proactive in delivering the goal focused support Xavier deserves and I and Xaviers family will be eternally grateful!

Once we didnt know wether you would ever to have a job and you've grown up so much and are learning so much independence. Your mum, Myself, Teegra, Nan and your aunts and uncles are so happy and proud of you mate! We all love you to bits.

I'm so proud of you Xavier!

June isn’t only Pride Month
It’s also Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.

This one matters to me. I struggle too and some days it’s honestly just about getting through the next hour.

So if you’re a bloke reading this and you’re not travelling great, please don’t do it on your own. Talk to someone.
Book the appointment.

Tell a mate you trust what’s really going on.
If you don’t know where to start, start with your GP. They can help you take the next step, whether that’s a psychologist, counsellor, or something else that actually fits you. It might feel awkward or pointless at first, but it’s still a start.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
And if you’ve been thinking “people would be better off without me”
 that’s not the truth.

"Don’t underestimate the hole your absence would leave". - (Jordan Peterson)

Your people would feel it.
If this is you right now, please reach out. You matter more than you think.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 000. In Australia you can also call Lifeline 13 11 14.
If you need help making the first step or want more information for mental health support/services please reach out to me!

Australia's annual inflation rate sits at 4.2% for the 12 months to April 2026.

The Fair Work Commission announced a 4.75% wage increase for millions of Australian workers, with the very lowest-paid minimum wage earners receiving a larger 6% pay boost. These increases are set to take effect from 1 July 2026.

So technically 0.55% raise.. how generous.

Plus more Tax for the govt.

This is a joke right?

(Sorry long one)

NDIS update (today’s announcement).

we’re here with you!❀

Hey everyone, you might’ve seen the news today from Health Minister Mark Butler about proposed changes to the NDIS.

In simple terms, the government is talking about moving toward eligibility being based more on functional capacity assessments (how someone is impacted day to day), not just diagnosis.

They also flagged a plan slow the growth and cost of the scheme over time, with modelling suggesting many people could be moved off the NDIS in the coming years and directed to state and territory “foundational supports” instead.

There was also mention of tighter rules around some supports (including community participation) and more provider registration requirements.

I know reading that can bring up a lot of fear and uncertainty, especially if you’re already doing it tough. If you’re a participant, family member, or part of someone’s support network, please hear this clearly.

You are not alone, and we will walk through this with you.!!

Nothing changes overnight, and there are still details to be confirmed. But we’re paying close attention, and we’ll keep sharing updates as we learn more.

If you’re worried about your plan, a review coming up, or what this could mean for you, please reach out. We can talk it through calmly and make a plan together.
