At Hamley House Medical, we’re now offering skin checks and minor skin procedures with Dr Lindsay ☀️

Our skin checks include a thorough assessment of your skin and any spots or lesions of concern, with minor procedures available where appropriate.

Skin checks and minor skin procedures are offered for a private fee. Medicare rebates may apply to eligible services but please note these services are not bulk-billed.

🧬JEANS FOR GENES DAY! 🧬

We put on our denim, turned everything BLUE 💙 and baked up a storm for this special cause!🧁

A big thank you to all our wonderful patients and community members who popped in, grabbed some blue treats and made a donation. So far we’ve raised $1462.50 and we are feeling very proud to have reached over our fundraising goal. Thanks for getting behind us to raise awareness and help fund this important research ✨

💙🤍Bake it Blue - Jeans for Genes Day 🤍💙
Thursday 6th August

Did you know that 1 in 20 Aussie kids are born with a genetic disease or birth defect? That’s one in every classroom!
This year, we’re taking part in Jeans for Genes to help fund the incredible scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute, who are working today to find cures for tomorrow.

On Thursday this week we will Bake it Blue - with some sweet goodies available in clinic for a gold coin donation. Your donation will help keep labs running, research advancing, and hope alive for kids who need it most.
Together, we can make a difference!

We're Baking it Blue for Jeans for Genes to help fund cures for childhood genetic diseases. 1 in 20 kids faces a birth defect or genetic disease, like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and life-threatening metabolic disorders. We’re sharing this helpful Red Nose Australia resource to help parents and carers check that baby is the right temperature.

It's winter, here's what you need to know about checking if your baby is the right temperature.

Skip the room thermometer. The best way to check? Feel your baby's back or tummy. It should feel warm to the touch. Cool hands and feet are completely normal.

If your baby has flushed cheeks or is sweating, it's a sign they may be too warm. Remove a layer, keeping their face and head uncovered.

Overheating is a known risk factor for sudden unexpected death in infancy, and the simple steps to prevent it don't require any special equipment.
