Remedy Spotlight: Thuja occidentalis
Thuja is a deeply acting remedy often associated with skin growths, sensitivity, and feeling unlike oneself. It is commonly thought of in cases involving warts, recurring infections, and symptoms that appear after suppression or vaccination.
It’s especially helpful when:
• There are warts, skin tags, or unusual skin growths
• The person feels overly self conscious or wants to hide parts of themselves
• There is a tendency toward recurring urinary or vaginal infections
• Sweat may have a strong smell, especially on the feet
• Hair, nails, or skin become unhealthy or brittle
• Symptoms begin after vaccination, illness, or long periods of suppression
Thuja has a strong affinity for the skin, immune system, and emotional sensitivity, especially when symptoms seem hidden beneath the surface.
Emotional picture: There may be insecurity, embarrassment, or a feeling of being emotionally fragile. The person may feel as though they are “not quite themselves” or try hard to hide weaknesses from others.
Think of Thuja when there is a combination of skin issues, sensitivity, and feeling emotionally closed off or hidden.
Top tip: The classic clue for Thuja is the presence of warts together with emotional sensitivity or secrecy.
Did you know? Thuja is made from the Arbor Vitae tree, also called the “Tree of Life.” In homeopathy, it is often linked with conditions involving overgrowth, suppression, and hidden emotional patterns.
