It’s sad how outdated mainstream public health advice is. Folic acid is a toxic form of folate that is contraindicated for anyone with any MTHFR gene variants. Half the population have at least one variant. It should have never been added to fortify food.
Much more absorbable forms are folinic acid and 5-methyl folate.
Don’t buy random supplements and expect them to be harmless- work with a qualified prescriber.

Detoxification is key in today's world. No, a juice fast is not detox.
• If you have vulnerable genes like MTHFR, COMT, UGT (Gilbert's syndrome) and other sub-optimal genetics, chances are you are not properly detoxifying toxins such as:
