Facts about
Dhanwantharam Thailam
-------------------
First a story.
After his brother's consultation, the 28 year old gentleman introduced himself to me and added "i am a skeptic as a scientist and i don't believe in this bu****it" at the end! He became a scientist 2 years back. I said I was a skeptic for 3 years before I started the cause-and-effect and predictive nature of Ayurveda. I told him I am still a skeptic, for more than 30 years. I got his attention!
Then, he wanted to know what would I suggest for his body ache when wakes up that lasts for the past few years for the past few years. I suggested a self-massage with warm Dhanwantaram oil at around 8pm, then a warm shower at 8.30pm. Then go to bed at 9.30pm. His soft laugh told me that he really didn't believe in this 'bu****it'!
He called me next day to ask why he didn't have any pain when he woke up that day. I really don't know, I said. He said he did the oil massage and wanted to know if thats the reason! I said, that is possible or there may be another reason that we don't know.
He wanted to know if its a placebo. I said it could be, most probably or may not be!
(I didn't want to say its the oil, because I can't prove it. I am talking to a scientist.)
He said he is going to prove it. I was curious!
3 days later he calls me and said its the oil is a potent pain killer. He applied it only on his right side one night and he woke up with no pain on his right side. Next day he did it on his left side, woke up with no pain on the left side. He claimed its NOT a placebo.
I like playing cat and mouse.
So, I said to him that he just proved IT IS placebo, as he know which side he was oiling! He was devastated. He is a scientist and I am "snake oil man!!", and he is losing it!!!
The bottom line.
The man buys litre of Dhanwantaram oil every month, now.
