Imaging Associates (IA) and Imaging Associates Eastern (formerly known as Imaging Independently) are an independent diagnostic imaging practice which is owned and operated by a group of dedicated, highly specialised Radiologists. tract for Eastern Health at Angliss, Box Hill, Healesville and Maroondah Hospitals. IA and IAE are supported by the Imaging Associates Group, which provides management services and administrative support to these entities.

Dr Belinda Lui is a Radiologist at Imaging Associates with specialist expertise in Breast Imaging (including MRI) and Small Bowel Imaging.

She joined Imaging Associates in 2008 and works across a wide range of modalities including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, Mammography and MRI, with experience in both diagnostic and interventional procedures.

DEXA (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry), also known as Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD), is a low-dose X-ray scan used to measure bone density and assess bone strength.

It may assist in identifying reduced bone density and is used in the assessment of fracture risk and conditions such as osteoporosis. The scan is quick, non-invasive, and uses a low level of radiation.

An Orthopantomogram (OPG) is a panoramic X-ray that provides an overview of the lower face, teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. It is commonly used in dental assessment and treatment planning, including evaluation of tooth position, growth, and impacted teeth such as wisdom teeth.

An OPG may also assist in assessing the jawbone and temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and can be used as part of orthodontic planning and dental assessment.

It is a secure online platform that provides convenient access to your scans via computer, tablet, or mobile device, making it easy to share images with family or healthcare professionals when needed.

After your first scan, you will receive an SMS to activate your account and access your images through the app or web viewer, with reports available following clinical review.
