Om Shanti Sound Healing has been evolving alongside me for the past six years, and it felt about time to properly reintroduce myself.
So, Hey- I’m Jess. 35. Sound Healer. Proud to be from Aotearoa, New Zealand.
I am very grateful to have spent much of my adult life traveling to different corners of the globe, immersing myself in cultures and practices that helped me to “scratch my spiritual itch.” Along the journey, I became someone who uses sacred sound to help others — the way it helps me.
Om Shanti Sound Healing was never a business idea. If I’m honest, it was born as a result of my own unraveling - and the path that met me when I was ready to rebuild. India had long been part of my spiritual path, so in January 2020, I found myself in Rishikesh, training in Sound Healing, thinking this would simply be a practice to help me keep my own balance. Instead, it became a doorway into something much bigger. I was blessed to learn from the best, I wasn’t just “taught” sound healing.
In true India style, i was immersed into the essence of Nāda Yoga (the yoga of sound), letting me experience its transformative healing power firsthand. Over time, sacred sound has continued to shape my life, becoming a daily refuge for me. It is the practice that keeps me connected and grounded when life feels chaotic.
When something helps you so much, there’s an inner knowing that you have to find a way to recreate the experience for others. I never imagined where that knowing would take me. Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of holding space for hundreds of people navigating their own seasons of change. I’ve shared this work in India, Australia, and previously in my own Sound Healing Studio in Manawatu, NZ (pictured above)
Since May 2025, I’ve had the honour of calling beautiful Bright, VIC home. Country here has met me in ways I didn’t expect and helped to move me through my own season of change with so much support. Through slowly building a connection with the land, I’ve developed a deep respect for the Dhudhuroa and Taungurung peoples, whose custodianship of this sacred Country, continues to sustain a balance that so many are nourished by. It feels right for this work to continue to unfold here, and to learn to create in rhythm with Country.
My sessions are not musical performances, but guided immersions in sound and vibration, offered one-on-one or in group sessions, helping you move through what you’re ready to release, at your own pace. At the heart of my offerings are my handmade Tibetan Singing Bowls - instruments with a depth of resonance you don’t just hear, you feel.
Time and time again, I’ve witnessed how sound reaches the places words cannot. It calms our nervous system, quiets our mind, and reflects back to us what we feel inside but cannot name. I’ve watched in amazement as sounds and vibrations have dissolved stress and negative thinking patterns for so many - the tension, the mental noise, the things we carry around unknowingly and the ways we fall out of rhythm without realizing.
This is not instagrammable wellness, but a simple way of really returning to yourself - so those Sunday scaries don’t hit the same, so you move through the days and weeks steadier, more like yourself again. And best of all, you have a chance to reconnect with that ancient part of yourself, that already knows the way.
If you’ve been feeling the call to reset and reconnect, I’d love to welcome you into the practice of using sacred sound for wellbeing, and to create space for you to get back in tune with your own rhythm and inner power.
Shortly I’ll be announcing the details of my first round of group sessions here in Bright, in March & April. I’d love to see you there. If you would prefer to book a private session, please feel free to send me a DM.
Looking forward to healing together soon.
Namaste,
Jess
