Did you know at PFM Physio we don't just look at pelvic floor exercises, but we look at your nervous system too? Here's a great video to explain how the nervous system can affect your bladder.

Ever wondered if your mind holds the key to a calmer bladder? This ...

Some people living with pain become so used to feeling tight, guarded, inflamed or exhausted… they forget what it feels like for their body to truly relax.

What we love about Fascial Counterstrain is that it meets the body gently. It works with the nervous system and protective patterns that can develop after injury, surgery, inflammation, stress or persistent pain. When your body has been on high alert for a long time, it can feel exhausting emotionally too. That’s why our approach is calm, patient and centred around listening to what your body is telling us.

Sometimes the biggest relief isn’t just less pain.
It’s finally feeling like your body is no longer stuck in survival mode.

To see if Fascial Counterstrain would be beneficial for you, give our team a call or book online for a Counterstrain Screening with Michelle Kirby to get started.

To the women who have spent years being told their pain is “normal”, who plan their lives around flare-ups, heating pads, exhaustion and cancelled plans,
who feel like their body is constantly fighting against them... We see you!

Endometriosis is more than just painful periods. It can affect your pelvic floor, bladder, bowel, intimacy, movement, sleep, mental health and your ability to feel comfortable in your own body. Many women live in a constant state of tension and guarding without even realising it.

At PFM Physio, we understand that pelvic pain is complex. We know that when you’ve been in pain for a long time, your muscles can become overactive, sensitive and exhausted too.

Whether you’ve just been diagnosed, are waiting for answers, or have been managing endometriosis for years — you deserve support from clinicians who genuinely understand how deeply this condition can impact daily life.

It's okay to ask for help.

Tired of sneezing, coughing or jumping and worrying about leakage?

EMSELLA therapy is a non-invasive treatment designed to help strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. Over a short course of treatments, many people notice improvements in bladder control, core strength, and confidence in daily life.

It’s a great option for both women and men experiencing:
• Stress urinary incontinence
• Postnatal pelvic floor weakness
• Reduced bladder control with age or after prostate treatment

Want to know if EMSELLA therapy is right for you? Speak with our team or book an EMSELLA screening online.
