A wonderful night celebrating the Boccia League Brisbane Medal Presentation, proudly supported by Charter Care Services.

A big congratulations to all the players, medal recipients, organisers and supporters who made the evening so special. It was fantastic to celebrate the dedication, skill and sportsmanship shown throughout the season.

Boccia is an inclusive bowling-style game that requires concentration, strategy and accuracy rather than strength. It can be played socially or competitively, right through to Paralympic level.

Similar to the Italian game of bocce, Boccia is designed for players of all abilities, including those with physical disability. Players throw, kick or use a ramp device to propel leather balls as close as possible to the white target ball, known as the jack.

The sport also provides pathways for players to classify and compete at regional, state, national and international levels.

Charter Care Services is proud to support inclusive community sport and the amazing opportunities Boccia creates for players, families and the wider community.
