Some inspiration for you as we approach Run2Cure tomorrow at New Farm Park tomorrow with Neuroblastoma Australia.

Aaron running for the first time since being out of hospital at his sisters colour run. Aunty Rosie asked the teachers and organisers if he could run with his sister and cousins because we really didn't know if he would ever be able to run his own. I am so thankful she did and he got to experience the joy he had that day. He ran around the oval with no trouble two times! For a kid that spent 16 months bed ridden it didn't make sense how it was possible for him.

To our team, the funds you have helped raise is incredible and we are so grateful. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and can't wait for a fun day. If you want to join us please come say hi and if you can't and have a few dollars to spare our teams fundraising page is close to making the leaderboard 😁

This is Bree. She used to work at the newsagency at Nanny's shops. She is the first person who Aaron connected to that wasn't family. A beautiful friendly face on the other side of the counter and he would try and grab at her and distract her from her work. She seemed a little shy back then but she met this gorgeous little Bubba with so much joy and love and would be so excited whenever we would come by. It got to the point where he would get upset if we were at Nanny's shops and he didn't get to see her.

I was blessed with two beautiful children who just love love and spread it wherever they went and so when they are met with the same in return from everyday people in the community it's a beautiful reminder that we are the joy and the love we want to see in the world. What you give you get back... in some ways. Don't really know how that fits as a whole life view because I don't know what I gave to get given so much torture and heartache but focusing on the good, between it all there has been so much love.

We are at Neuroblastoma Australias Run2Cure this Sunday in Brisbane. We have Bree in the top 5 currently as individual fundraisers. Totally smashing the small goal we had set for the first fundraising event we have done since Aaron's passing. We want to see her crack over $2000 or more to keep her in the top 5. Highest individual fundraisers are in the running for a prize.

This isn't the girl we met at the newsagency. We have seen her grow into a beautiful woman kicking goals and continuing to be such a beautiful human being. You are so deserving of all the love Bree xx

Thank you for showing up for my boy and our family πŸŒˆπŸ¦‹πŸ‘ΌπŸͺ½

He has so much stuff. There's more in the garage that I'll get to soon. I don't know what to do with all of his things πŸ₯Ί for now it's just a space I come into sometimes.

I'm busy doing some cleaning jobs today and he was the best little helper for those regular jobs. Always wiping things down or sweeping and mopping. I think I just feel him with me more today so I've opened up his door that's usually closed and thought I'd share.

It smells different in this room. If I were to describe it it would be the smell of kindy. You know when you go to pick them up and they're still having their nap. That's what this room smells like. Kindy in the afternoon 😌 I am so grateful we had 9 months of an almost normal life after treatment.

The last time he sang with his sister. He would play her favourite songs for her on his phone or iPad. This was Ella's last time leaving the hospital after visiting her brother. Then he came home. I've been quiet here. All these memories are popping up and I feel like the memories of this time last year are slightly suffocating. I want to look away and reach out to them at the same time.

I have had family and friends doing the hard work for Run2Cure coming up on the 16th August. We have kicked our small fundraising goal so now let's see how far we can push it. Funding is vital. We have placed our first shirt order today and will be placing a second one soon.

Always missing my little boy but I appreciate so much the love that everyone still has for him and helping our family πŸ’›

1 yr ago today was Aaron's last time at the park playground. I didn't know it was going to be the last time. It had been a long day but we walked from our house down and around the corner to the park. He walked the whole way and at the time he had been battling pains, fevers and not eating again. On the walk back he was struggling. I couldn't carry him and walk the dog. He picked up a stick and just pretended to be an old man on the walk back. I still have that stick. Luigi ended up out of my grip but he was a good boy and came back when Aaron and I called him. He had been to many park days and playgrounds. This day was just another day but it's in my memory forever. These kids had fun sliding one of Aaron's cars down the slide and making Luigi dig in the bark.

Our team is growing for Run2Cure
These last couple of weeks have been harder for me. Flashbacks and not sleeping. Aaron messed with the TV yesterday. I have a screensaver on it that comes on and it got stuck on the one lot of pictures - even changing the screen but the same pictures still loaded. It was of him and Ella about 5 days before he passed. It's little things that keep us going and also the little things that take me out.

My sister's have been helping get things organised and keeping things moving. We appreciate everyone who have already signed up or donated.
