Has your child's Semester 1 report card left you with questions?
Sometimes a report card confirms that your child is doing well. Other times, it raises questions about learning, attention, or whether they are reaching their full potential.
Bryden Neuropsychology is offering a School Check-Up Assessment, which is designed to provide parents and caregivers with a clearer understanding of how their child is learning and developing.
Special price for clients who book in July 2026: $800
Appointment dates available from July-December 2026
This assessment may be helpful if your child:
📚 Is finding school more difficult than expected.
🧠 Seems capable but isn't achieving the results you would expect.
⭐ Appears to be well ahead of their peers and would benefit from extension.
🎯 Has difficulties with attention, concentration, or staying on task.
❓ Has ongoing concerns raised by teachers or family, but you're unsure what the next step should be.
Your child will complete an individual assessment with one of Bryden Neuropsychology’s provisional psychologists, who are in the final stages of their dual Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology training, and who work under the supervision of senior neuropsychologist, Dr Kelly Bryden.
The assessment includes:
✔️ Parent history interview (1 hour)
✔️Review of relevant documents including previous assessments, school and guidance officer reports.
✔️ Cognitive assessment (IQ)
✔️ Academic assessment
✔️ Computerised attention assessment
✔️ Behaviour questionnaires for parents/caregivers, and teachers
✔️ A detailed written report
✔️ A feedback session to explain the results and provide practical recommendations
Rather than simply identifying areas of difficulty, the assessment also highlights your child's strengths and provides recommendations to support learning at home and school, and to help determine whether any further assessment or intervention may be beneficial.
Bryden Neuropsychology recognises that psychological assessments are a significant investment for many families. The School Check-Up Assessment has been developed to provide a comprehensive overview of your child's learning profile at a competitive fee of $800.
With immediate appointments available, free onsite parking, and lift access, Bryden Neuropsychology aims to make accessing assessment as straightforward as possible for families.
