We recently visited one of our participants Anthony at Gunabul Homestead in Gympie, which hosts an impressive 18-hole golf course. Anthony has a condition called Spinocerebellar Ataxia which affects the nervous system and can result in loss of muscle control and coordination. Despite this Anthony has succeeded in pursuing his passion of golf. He now has 7 different sponsors supporting him and he has played numerous tournaments nationally and internationally. He has also been selected to play in the Special Olympics in Melbourne later this year. We are extremely proud of everything Anthony has had to overcome to get this far.

The 37-year-old woman missing from Hamilton since May 3 has been located safe and well.

Good morning everyone. So who loves a Krispy Kreme Donut? I know I do and who loves supporting people make their dreams come true???? That’s me again. A client of mine who has Neurological condition that causes his brain to shrink, affects his speech, balance, strength, memory and overall daily functional capacity. The one thing that helps Anthony get through his day is his passion for Golf. It helps him to concentrate, keep active, get out of the house and not be isolated from everyone. He currently plays with All Abilities and is now registering to play at the Special Olympics. He has tournaments all over Australia as well as in Tasmania. Unfortunately being on a disability pension doesn’t cover the costs required for Anthony to play at these tournaments and NDIS only covers support workers to attend with him. So he is now fundraising with the amazing Krispy Kreme donuts. If you can please purchase a box or two and share this with your friends and work colleagues to help Anthony make his dreams come true. Thanks so much ❤️

This is one of our amazing participants Anthony who’s not letting his disability get in the way of his dreams.
Anthony has a passion for golf and is off to Victoria for a 4 day tournament this week. His big dream is qualifying for the Special Olympics 2026. At the rate he’s going, we think he’s going to get there. Anthony is looking for a business to sponsor him to help him access the Golf Courses more often during the week to keep up his practice, help with his mental health and help get him to more tournaments around Australia and the Olympics. If you or you know if anyone who can help Anthony reach his dreams, please reach out to me.
