📢 Important Update for SIL Providers, Participants & Support Coordinators

Many of you may have recently received communication from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission regarding changes to Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangements.

The Commission has now provided further clarification:

✅ From 1 July 2026, all providers delivering Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports must be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

If your organisation currently delivers SIL supports and is not yet registered, now is the time to begin the registration process and prepare for the transition.

Participants receiving SIL supports should also start discussing transition arrangements with their current providers to ensure continuity of support and compliance with the new requirements.

At Care Direct Disability Services, we understand that these changes may raise questions and concerns for providers, participants, families, and support coordinators.
