NSW Opposition Leader, Ms Kellie Sloane MP will speak at the Opening Plenary on Thursday 10 September, providing delegates with insights into the political landscape and the policy issues shaping health care delivery. Ms Sloane will be joined by over 70 industry, business and clinical expert speakers who will address the conference theme, ‘Connecting with Care’.

“For NSW pharmacists in particular the timing of the conference is key, as there are major changes to NSW health regulations of which many pharmacists may not be aware," said Mario Barone, Branch President of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, NSW Branch.

The Pharmacists' Support Service - PSS is seeking nominations for the 2026 John Coppock Pharmacist Wellbeing Award, recognising pharmacists and pharmacy teams making a positive and sustained contribution to the wellbeing of the profession. The award celebrates initiatives that support the mental, emotional and physical health of those working in pharmacy.

The successful recipient will receive $2,500 to support their wellbeing initiatives. Nominations close 10 September 2026, with the winner to be announced on World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2026. In her address Fiona Watson, Queensland Branch Vice President and Branch Committee member, highlighted the exciting new career options full scope of practice has created, and the important ongoing partnership between our organisations. Connecting with students was an exciting reminder of our industry's bright future.

Thank you to the Guild members and pharmacy teams who attended our Rockhampton Member Dinner last night.
It was great to connect with members alongside our Branch Committee, Queensland Guild staff, and to welcome Senator the Hon Matt Canavan and the Hon Michelle Landry MP.

Sam Turner's journey reflects a passion for innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. At Scrypt Ventures (now "Scrypt"), Sam worked with community pharmacies to leverage data and technology to optimise operations. He later co-founded Vytal Health, a pharmacy group built on innovation, meaningful relationships and sustainable growth. Driven by a belief that collaboration and innovation are essential to the profession's future, Sam continues to champion new ways of supporting pharmacy teams, strengthening businesses and improving patient care.
