As spring gets closer, some people start to notice their sleep changing.

A blocked nose can make it harder to breathe comfortably through the nose overnight. This can lead to more mouth breathing, louder snoring and more disrupted sleep.

Sometimes, it is just seasonal congestion.

But if snoring is regular, loud or comes with gasping, choking, pauses in breathing, morning headaches or daytime tiredness, it may be time to speak with your GP.

Spring is getting closer, and your CPAP setup may need a quick seasonal reset.

Before pollen levels start to rise, it is worth checking the small things that can make therapy more comfortable:

Is your mask still sealing well?
Are your filters fresh?
Do you have spares ready?
Are your humidifier settings still working for you?
Are any cushions, clips or headgear parts due for replacement?

A little preparation now can help you avoid troubleshooting later, especially if seasonal changes tend to make CPAP feel harder to use.

As the season starts to shift, your CPAP comfort settings may need a small review.

If you have been waking with dryness, a blocked nose, a sore throat, water in your tubing or a mask that feels less comfortable than usual, it may be worth checking your humidifier settings.

Small adjustments can make a meaningful difference, especially before the weather changes again.

Not sure where to start? Your Sleep Healthcare team can help you review your setup and get ready for the season ahead.

Your CPAP filter may be small, but it plays an important role in your therapy setup.

Before spring arrives, it is a good idea to replace your filter and make sure you have spares ready.

A fresh filter helps reduce dust and airborne particles entering your therapy system, and it is one of the simplest parts of CPAP care to stay on top of.

A quick August filter check can help you start the next season feeling prepared.

Your CPAP mask works hard every night.

Over time, cushions soften, headgear stretches and small leaks can start to appear. You may not notice it all at once, but you might find yourself tightening the straps more often or waking with more marks, leaks or dryness.

Before spring arrives, take a moment to check:

Is your mask sealing well?
Is the cushion still in good condition?
Are you over-tightening the straps?
Are leaks becoming more common?
Is your mask still comfortable through the night?

If something feels off, a replacement part or mask review may help.

There are few things more frustrating than realising you need a CPAP replacement part after your sleep has already started being disrupted.

August is a good time to check what you have on hand before spring arrives.

Take a look at your:

Filters
Mask cushion
Headgear
Tubing
Cleaning supplies
Humidifier tub
Spare mask parts

If something is worn, overdue or running low, now is the time to replace it.

A little preparation can make the next season feel much easier.

Are your filters fresh?
Do you have spare parts ready?
Are your humidifier settings still working for you?
Is anything starting to feel worn or uncomfortable?

A simple check now can help you avoid last-minute troubleshooting later.

Most people think CPAP is just about better sleep.

But it’s also helping protect your heart, your blood pressure and your long-term health.

Sleep apnoea places a strain on your body night after night. Over time, that can increase your risk of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes.

Consistent CPAP use helps reduce that risk.

If you’re using CPAP, you’re doing something important for your future health.
