🧦 Crazy Socks 4 Docs Day 🧦
Today we’re wearing our craziest socks to support an important reminder: doctors are human too.
Behind every consultation, every late finish, every difficult conversation, and every decision made under pressure is a person who also experiences stress, uncertainty, burnout, and challenges with their own mental health.
As healthcare professionals, we’re often trained to look after everyone else first. Yet many doctors struggle to ask for help when they need it themselves.
At Next Practice Newstead, we believe that caring for our community starts with caring for the people who care for our community.
Mental health doesn’t discriminate. It affects doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, patients, families, friends, and colleagues. By having conversations, checking in on one another, and creating supportive workplaces, we can help reduce stigma and encourage people to seek support when they need it.
So today we’re wearing our crazy socks proudly in support of doctor wellbeing, mental health awareness, and a reminder that it’s okay not to be okay.
To our fellow healthcare workers: thank you for everything you do, and don’t forget to look after yourselves too.
And to our patients and community: thank you for your kindness, patience, and support. It means more than you know.
💛 Because healthy doctors help build healthier communities.
Not super humans, just humans.
