🎉 Celebrating a very special milestone for our wonderful Jas! 🎉

Over the weekend, Jas celebrated her 60th birthday, and we couldn’t let the occasion pass without recognising the incredible contribution she has made to Ashgrove Clinic.

For more than a decade, Jas has given so much of herself to the clinic through her hard work, warmth, love and unwavering dedication. She has supported our doctors, cared deeply for our patients and built genuine connections throughout the Ashgrove community.

Jas is far more than a familiar face at the clinic. She is a trusted colleague, a source of kindness and laughter, and a truly valued part of the Ashgrove family. Her commitment over the years has helped shape the welcoming and caring clinic we know today.

Cordium didn’t begin with a perfect plan.

It began with one medical centre, big ambitions and a willingness to learn from every challenge along the way.

Over the past 13 years, there have been mistakes, long nights, difficult decisions and plenty of lessons. There have also been incredible people, meaningful partnerships and a growing network of medical practices providing care to communities across Queensland.

Today, Cordium supports 20 practices and more than 150 team members, but the values behind the business remain the same: keep learning, build strong systems and create medical practices where people are proud to work.

This is our story so far.

Quarterly Registrar Education Day 📚🩺

Continuous learning is at the heart of great patient care, and our latest quarterly registrar session brought together education, collaboration and a few laughs along the way.

This quarter's program included:
🍊 A hands-on skin cancer workshop with Dr Roy Kwan
🌸 Menopause management with Dr Vivian Cham
📊 Practical billing insights with Dr Gaurav Singh

These sessions give our registrars the opportunity to learn from experienced clinicians, share knowledge and build confidence through practical discussion and real-world scenarios.

The afternoon wrapped up with some well-earned time to connect outside the consulting room, strengthening the relationships that make collaboration across our clinics so valuable.

No oranges were harmed... well, maybe just a little, in the name of skin cancer education. 🍊

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, and to our presenters for generously sharing their knowledge and experience. We're already looking forward to the next session!

✨ Welcome back, Lauren! ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Lauren back to the Cordium family—this time in the role of Executive Assistant to our COO, Shruti Deshwal.

Lauren is no stranger to Cordium, having previously spent almost three years as a Practice Manager before joining our Office Operations team. Her deep understanding of our clinics, our people, and the way we work makes her uniquely positioned to step into this role.

Lauren has joined with a clear purpose: to help buy back time for our COO by managing priorities, creating efficiencies, and enabling greater focus on strategic growth across the business.

As Cordium continues to grow, having the right people in the right roles is essential. Lauren’s operational knowledge, organisation, initiative, and attention to detail will strengthen communication, improve workflows, and help keep the many moving parts of our growing organisation running smoothly.

We’re thrilled to have Lauren back on the team and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make—not only in supporting our executive team, but in helping Cordium continue to grow and deliver exceptional care to our communities.

Quarterly Practice Management Meeting 🤝

This Tuesday, our Practice Managers came together for a day of learning, collaboration and connection. We explored people management, reviewed our financial performance against key benchmarks, and shared ideas to help us continue growing.

Most importantly, it was a great opportunity to strengthen the relationships that make our team so successful. We’re incredibly fortunate to have such a talented management team, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to Cordium.

Welcome back, Cat!

The past few months have been a special chapter for Cat and her family, welcoming their second bub and first baby girl into the world. Between making precious family memories, spending time in the garden, and sacrificing a few nights' sleep, she's been making the most of this time at home.

We're so grateful to have her back. Her quick thinking, wealth of knowledge, kindness, and ever-present smile have been missed more than she'll probably realise.
